Running for a healthier world

Did you know that diabetes is one of the most lethal diseases in the world?

Diabetes is one of the greatest public health emergencies of the 21st century. The number of people diagnosed has quadrupled since the 1980’s and the disease, and its complications, are hitting developing countries the hardest. TSS Temperature Management Solution service ensures the quality of insulin when shipped to remote places around the world. We want to ensure that all patients, no matter where in the world, have an equal chance of living with diabetes.

WDF raise awareness and give help where it is most needed

The World Diabetes Foundation, WDF, was founded by Novo Nordisk A/S in 2002 as an independent and non-profit foundation. WDF are working tirelessly to create awareness around this important health problem. In one of their latest projects, WDF are piloting an integrated diabetes and foot care approach, improving the lives of thousands of diabetes patients in Senegal. The project aims to decrease the incidence of amputations due to diabetes by 40% and improve orthopaedic support for amputees and/or those with a foot complication. Thanks to projects like these, encouraged and funded by WDF, strategies to prevent and treat diabetes increases the possibility for large numbers of patients to avoid complications and attain improved quality of life.

We want to help move things forward

To show our support to WDF, and to all of the people fighting diabetes, as well as contributing to raise awareness about the implications of diabetes worldwide, TSS will combine pleasure (or will it be pain?) with a good cause! On Saturday the 11th, our home town Stockholm is the arena for the annual local running race “Kungsholmen Runt”. For every employee completing this race, TSS will donate to WDF.

Join us in the fight against diabetes, either by cheering on us on Saturday (we’ll need it!), by sharing this post to raise awareness about diabetes or by donating yourself to WDF and this important cause. Let’s make a run for it!
